Four Classics
by Elbert Hubbard
The folder for the four booklets above
measures 8 1/4" wide by 6 1/2" tall. The cover design on the folder is Dard
Hunteresque and the folder contains the following 4 booklets:
1. A Message to Garcia - Comprised of 14 pages plus a colophon and 2 pictures,
one of Hubbard and one of Rowan.
2. The Boy From Missouri Valley - Comprised of 15 pages plus colophon.
3. Get Out Or Get In Line - Comprised of 15 pages plus colophon.
4. The Divine in Man - Comprised of 15 pages plus colophon.
The original copyrights were as follows:
The Booklet for A Message to Garcia says 1916 which is odd as it was originally
published in 1899. It also contains the Apologia from 1913. A Boy From Missouri
Valley 1916. Get Out Or Get In Line copyright 1902. It was originally published
in the April 1902 Cosmopolitan Magazine. The Divine in Man copyright 1917. The
item above is believed to be from the mid 20's to mid 30's but I do not have an
exact date.
