King Lear
by William Shakespeare, 1904
This book measures 10 1/4" x 8 1/2" and
has 147 pages plus colophon. The text body is set in Scotch Roman printed on
Roycroft handmade water marked paper. The edition above is a variant of the
regular edition which was bound in paper over boards with a suede spine.
The edition above has a pig skin spine which is similar in style to the Miriam
binding but it is not a Miriam binding. A special limited edition of 100 bound
in 3/4 or full Levant and printed on Japan vellum was also produced. The limited
edition is illumined, numbered and signed in Elbert Hubbard's name.
