The Law of Love
by William Marion Reedy, 1905
Note: #17 of 100. This binding is also believed to be by Louis Herman Kinder based upon the tooling seen on the spine.
This book measures 7 5/8" x 5 3/4" and
has 159 pages. The text body is set in Cheltenham Bold. It was printed in three
colors on Boxmoor paper for the regular edition which was bound in suede. It is
known that fifty copies were printed on Boxmoor were bound in modeled calf.
Fifty copies were printed on Japan Vellum and bound in marbled paper
over boards with a suede spine. Two copies were bound in full leather. The
edition depicted above was bound 3/4 leather and printed on Japan Vellum in an
edition of 100. McKenna notes this as an edition of 106. So this may be another
a variant not noted in McKenna.
