Nature
by Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1905
Dard Hunter -- Like Denslow, he epitomized the Hubbard work ethic. His truly prodigious output, and instantly recognizable style, has been thoroughly researched and documented. Included here are some lesser-known examples of the incorporation of his designs into other productions of the Roycroft Print Shoppe. Although far more handsome than the standard suede binding with a blind-stamped title only, I know of only a few copies with Dard Hunter's embossed tree design.
This book measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and
has 91 pages. It was printed on Roycroft paper. The title page, initials, and ornaments were
designed by Dard hunter.
