Pictures and notes courtesy of Dick Blacher. Description by Paul Jackson.
Poems
by Theodora Goujaud De Wolf Colt, 1914
Notes: Written in honor of her son, Samuel Pomeroy Colt and published
posthumously.
Custom binding by Lorenz Schwartz with the Colt family crest at the upper
right.
This book measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/4" and has 231 pages. The text body is Scotch
Roman and was printed in two colors on unidentified laid paper without
watermark. This is a fine example of one of the Roycroft Press vanity printings
with superb design. There were many binding types made, including modeled
leather, 3/4 leather and full Levant. McKenna notes that this an example of
Roycroft printing and binding at it best!
