A Little Journey to
Shoomaker's
Being an Appreciation and an Eye Opener
by Elbert Hubbard, 1909
This booklet measures 8" x 6" and has 16 pages. Shoomaker's was a bar on E Street just off Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington DC. It appears to have been a favorite watering hole for many of the cognoscenti of the period. Shoomaker's was later closed do to Prohibition. This booklet is listed in McKenna but the name is misspelled as Shoemaker's. Initials and tail pieces were designed by Dard Hunter.
