Sesame and Lilies

This book measures 7 3/4" x 4 7/8" and has 142 pages. Text body is Antiqua Old Style
and 450 copies were printed in 2 colors on Whatman paper and hand
illuminated. The binding is paper over boards with a white Buckram spine. 40
copies had special hand illumination and a few copies were bound in 3/4 and full
Levant. The whole edition was numbered and signed by or for Elbert Hubbard in
his name.
The June 1897 edition of the Philistine announces the preparation of
Sesame and Lilies for Christmas delivery. Interestingly the same add lists a
Christmas delivery date for The Essays of Elia which was not printed until 1899.
