Sponges and Pumice
Being a Discreet & Truthful Write-up of the
Concern Of James H. Rhodes & Co.
by Elbert Hubbard, 1912
This booklet measures 8" x 6" with 21
pages. I assume this booklet has to do with bath products.
The publishing date in the booklet is 1912 but the first page mentions 12,000
telegrams to Taft, the date of 1915 and San Francisco. I assume this is in
reference to lobbying that took place and led to Taft's 1911 decision to hold
the 1915 World's Fair or Panama Pacific International Exposition in San
Francisco vice San Diego. This booklet is not listed in McKenna.
