The Story of the Steinways
A hand-stitched Roycroft production from
their shop in East Aurora, New York in 1921, this 32 page book by Elbert Hubbard
was a promotional gift from Grinnell Brothers Music House in Detroit, MI and its
branches. The pages have deckle edges and some top edges have never been
separated. Each paragraph begins with the first letter in "Old English" font in
a bittersweet color.
"So whenever human hearts are sad or glad, and songs are sung, and strings
vibrate, and keys respond to love's caress, there is known, respected, revered -
loved - the name and fame of Steinway."
