The Tale of Two Tailors

This book measures 7" x 4 1/2" and
has 29 pages plus colophon. It was printed in one color on Boxmoor paper in
three colors using Cheltenham type face. The lettering on the cover, title
page, initials, and decorations were all designed by Dard Hunter. The title page
border is the same one that is used for White Hyacinths. The book was bound in
paper over boards with a suede spine. The spine has a paper label affixed to it.
The book is basically an advertisement for Nathan Stein who was a clothing
manufacturer. The second tailor was Andrew Johnson who became the 17th President
of the United States. This book was made in a limited edition of 1500 but it is
exceptionally hard to find this book considering the limitation number. It is
even more difficult to find it in decent condition.
